CEClisting.com Course Contest 2019 contest rules (The “contest”)

 

THIS CONTEST IS ONLY OPEN TO CANADIAN RESIDENTS (EXCLUDING QUEBEC) AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW AND THE LAWS OF THE PROVINCE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. SEE BELOW FOR FULL CONTEST DETAILS. PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF, AND AGREEMENT TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY, THESE CONTEST RULES (THE “CONTEST RULES”).

CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins on Monday April 1, 2019 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends on
Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. PT (the “Contest Period”).

 

  1. HOW TO ENTER
    No purchase required. To enter the Contest, participants must sign up to the CEClisting.com Newsletter indicating your valid e-mail, first and last name and locations of interest. To be valid your entry must be received by 12:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Limit of one entry per person. If you attempt or are suspected of attempting to enter more than once or use robotic, automatic, programmed or any entry methods not authorized by these rules, it shall be deemed as tampering and will void your entry.

  2. ELIGIBILITY
    The Contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry, and are a licenced manual therapist, except employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) of CEClisting.com (the “Sponsor”), its affiliated companies or agents, advertising and promotion agencies and the Contest judges. Where appropriate, the terms “contestant” and “winner” mean parent or guardian of that person.

  3. PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING PRIZES
    On Saturday, October 26, 2019, a random draw will be conducted by CEClisting.com from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period,  one (1) eligible entrant will be selected. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The first selected contestant to correctly answer the mandatory mathematical skill-testing question shall be declared the winner, subject to meeting all the conditions described in these rules.

Before being declared a winner: The selected entrant will be contacted by e-mail and notified that they are eligible to win. The selected entrant must reply by e-mail within three(3) business day of notification and provide the Sponsor with a contact phone number. The selected entrant must first correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone. The Sponsor will then email, and the selected entrant will be required to sign and return within one (1) business day of notification a declaration of eligibility and a liability/publicity release, which:
a. confirms compliance with the contest rules;
b. releases the Sponsor, its affiliated companies and agents, advertising and promotion
agencies, the contest judges and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with the Contest, the entrant’s participation therein and/or the awarding and use or misuse of the prize or any portion thereof; and
c. grants to the Sponsor the right to use the selected entrant’s name, address and likeness in any form of advertising relating to the contest without further notice or compensation.

If a selected entrant: (i) cannot be contacted by e-mail within three (3) calendar days of selection or there is a return of any prior notification as undeliverable; (ii) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; or (iii) fails to return the contest documents within the specified time, the he/she will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate entrant from among the remaining eligible entries.

  1. DESCRIPTION OF PRIZE
    Grand Prize: There will be one (1) grand prize available to be won, consisting of one admission to DynamicTherapies.com’s Fascial Facet Release & Sacral Balancing Continuing Education Course on November 23 and 24, 2019 in Vancouver, Canada. The total approximate retail value of the prize is $500.00 (CDN)(“Grand Prize”)

 

NOTE: The Grand Prize does not include, and the Sponsor will not pay for, transportation to and/or from the Fascial Facet Release & Sacral Balancing Continuing Education Course. Finalists must arrange for their own transportation, accommodation, and spending money.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitutions except at Sponsor’s option. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or a prize component with one of equal or greater value, including without limitation, but solely in the Sponsor’s discretion, a cash award. Prizes will only be awarded to the person who is the owner of the E-mail account.

      5. GENERAL
5.1. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.


5.2. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw or amend this Contest in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.


5.3. To be declared a winner, the selected contestant must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.


5.4. Each winner shall sign a release declaring their eligibility as stipulated in Section 2 of these rules; agreeing that their name, image and/or voice may be used for advertising purposes related to this Contest free of charge; and releasing CEClisting.com as well as its respective directors, officers and employees (the “Contest Parties”) from all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in this Contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize.


5.5. The prize shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged or refunded for an amount of money, sold or transferred. No substitutions will be allowed. Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited.


5.6. If the prize cannot be awarded as described in these rules, CEClisting.com reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value, as determined in its sole discretion.


5.7. Refusal to accept the prize releases the Contest Parties from any obligation toward the winner.


5.8. If a contestant makes any false statement, (s)he will be automatically disqualified from the Contest.


5.9. The Contest Parties assume no liability for any loss, damage or injury, including without limitation: (i) lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late, destroyed, illegible or incomplete entries; (ii) loss, theft or damage to software or computer or telephone data, including any breach of privacy; (iii) fraudulent calls; (iv) inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason including mistaken addresses on mail or e-mail; technical, computer or telephone malfunctions or other problems with computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, or software; congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination of the foregoing; (v) damage to any person’s computer, including as a result of playing or downloading any material relating to the Contest; (vi) any delay or inability to act resulting from an event or situation beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or other labour dispute at their location or the locations of the organizations and businesses whose services are used to administer this Contest; or (vii) prizes that are lost, damaged or misdirected during shipping.


5.10. CEClisting.com reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, CBC reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.


5.11. By entering the Contest, Entrants are providing consent to permit CEClisting.com to contact them via email to provide information about CEClisting.com programs and events. Entrants may withdraw their consent at any time. By providing this information, you consent to it being used for the stated purposes. 5.12. If the identity of a contestant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e- mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the contestant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e- mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected contestant may be required to provide proof that (s)he is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server.


5.13. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, using any robotic, automatic programmed method that artificially increases the odds of winning or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by the CEClisting.com. CEClisting.com is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest.


5.14. CEClisting.com reserves the right to amend the Contest rules or to terminate the Contest at any time without any liability to any contestant. Any amendments to these Contest rules will be posted on http://ceclisting.com/index.php/about-cec-listing/contest-rules.
